The differences between the 2025 Toyota Corolla LE vs SE

The Corolla LE vs SE can be compared, but they have a lot of differences, too. For example, the Corolla LE’s starting MSRP is $22,175, while the Corolla SE’s starting MSRP is $24,615. That’s a two-thousand-dollar difference, but there’s a reason for it. Let’s get into it, starting with the Orlando Corolla LE:

  • First, the gas version gives you 32/41/35 mpg (city/highway/combined), which is slightly more than the SE’s mpg
  • 16-in. Steel wheels with covers
  • LED headlights
  • LED daytime running lights
  • Black front grille
  • Fabric-trimmed seats
  • Normal and Eco driving modes

Corolla LE vs SE

These sound like great features, but when you take a look at the 2025 Toyota Corolla SE’s list, you’ll be more impressed.

  • First, 31/40/34 (city/highway/combined)
  • The Orlando Corolla SE has 18-in. alloy wheels with graphite-colored finish, which are bigger than the LE’s
  • LED Daytime Running Lights and accent lighting
  • LED headlights with Daytime Running Lights, while the LE gives you just standard LED headlights.
  • Gray metallic sport side rocker panels and color-keyed rear spoiler
  • A sport mesh gloss-black front grille, to give you a sportier look than the Corolla LE
  • Driver and front passenger sun visor with illuminated vanity monitors
  • Sport seats with sport fabric inserts, to give you the full sporty feel
  • Available 10.5-in Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, which the LE doesn’t offer
  • Finally, it comes with Normal, Sport, and Eco driving modes, while the LE only gives you Normal and Eco driving modes

See? We told you there’s a reason for the two-thousand-dollar difference. But both Orlando Toyota options are amazing choices. It’s just what fits you at the end of the day.

Is the 2025 Toyota Corolla reliable?

Whichever trim you take home, being the 2025 Toyota Corolla LE vs SE, you’ll still get that amazing Toyota reliability regardless. There’s a reason why the Corolla is one of the best-selling cars in the world. Time after time, the IIHS gives the Orlando Toyota Corolla the Top Safety Pick certification. The NHTSA also gives it a 5-star overall safety rating. Finally, KBB lists Toyota as the brand with the highest resale value. holiday driving safety tips

It’s the holiday season, and that means everyone – and we mean everyone – is hitting the road. Whether people are scooping up Black Friday sales, visiting family and friends, or heading to holiday events, the traffic is definitely heavier than usual. This also means that the risk for accidents is up. Our Orlando Toyota dealership is here with holiday driving safety tips – check out our advice for driving on Thanksgiving day, driving on Christmas day, and tackling holiday traffic in general. Let’s go!

driving on thanksgiving day

Driving on Thanksgiving day and Black Friday

Thanksgiving is one of the busiest days of the year when it comes to driving. Tons of people are on the roads to get to celebrations with friends and family, and it’s in your best interest to know how to navigate it all. Here are the busiest driving days around Thanksgiving:

  • The Wednesday before. The day before Thanksgiving is the busiest day for travel, especially in the late afternoon and evening. Traffic spikes up and can cause major delays in and around Orlando.
  • Thanksgiving day between 11-3 pm. This is peak time for people to head to their Thanksgiving celebrations.
  • The Friday after between 12-4 pm. People returning home after the holiday + Black Friday traffic means longer travel times for you and your crew.
  • The Sunday after. The day after Thanksgiving is another heavy traffic day – people who stayed with friends and family for the weekend are on their way home and the Orlando highways definitely see slowdowns.

So when should you travel? Here’s what our Toyota of Orlando experts say about optimal Thanksgiving travel times.

  • Thanskgiving evening. Most people are where they need to be at this point (or already home) so the roads tend to be less crowded.
  • The Friday after before 11am and after 8pm. Driving at these times may help you avoid tough Black Friday traffic.

Driving on Christmas day and after

What about Christmas – when are the best and worst times to drive, and what holiday driving safety tips should you be putting into play? Here’s what the team at Toyota of Orlando has to say about it: check out the worst days to drive around Christmas.

  • The Friday + weekend before Christmas. This weekend is PEAK for Orlando traffic. People are doing last-minute shopping, driving home for the holidays, and hitting the last of the parties and events for the Christmas season.
  • The weekend after Christmas. People often head home this weekend after their holiday celebrations, so traffic tends to be heavier during these days.

The best times to travel around Christmas include midweek before the holiday or after the holiday.

What about driving on Christmas day – what is the best time? If you have to hit the road on December 25, we recommend doing so before 10am or after 5pm. Most people will be at home during those time periods, so the roads should be less congested.

holiday driving safety tips

Holiday driving safety tips for Thanksgiving + Christmas

What can you do to stay safe on the roads during this busy travel time? Here are some of our top holiday driving safety tips for Thanksgiving weekend and beyond.

  • Don’t rush. Check traffic before you leave to find your optimal route, and be late if you have to. Speeding and driving aggressively just increase your chances of getting into a car accident.
  • Stay focused. Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel to ensure your focus is where it needs to be – on driving and the cars around you.
  • Don’t drive aggressively. Avoid tailgating, speeding, weaving, and other bad driving behaviors to lower the risk of a collision.
  • Buckle up. Bad weather can make roads slippery, so make sure you and your passengers are buckled up safely.
  • Prep your Orlando Toyota. If you’re taking a road trip, make sure your car is prepped and ready to go in terms of tires, oil changes, and your battery.
  • Never drink and drive. Call an Uber, spend the night, have a designated driver – whatever you do, don’t drink and get behind the wheel.

And if you’re heading out of Orlando and into winter weather, be sure you’re ready for it. You need to know how to drive in snow and ice safely for when bad weather hits.

Your guide to driving around looking at Christmas lights this year

Bivona Christmas Light Show: If you want to spend some time driving around looking at Christmas lights in Orlando, we recommend starting with the Bivona Christmas Light Show. These lights have been sparkling since 1983 and the owners add more lights every single year for a true extravaganza. You can visit their Facebook page for updates, and they’re conveniently located at 1601 N. Wind Court in Winter Springs.

Fye’s Crazy Christmas House: Head over to Casselberry from Winter Springs when driving around looking at Christmas Lights – you’ll see a true holiday spectacular. Fye’s Crazy Christmas House has more than 60,000 lights! You’ll also get to see a music light show, a North Pole Village, and a life-sized nativity scene. You can even hop out of the car if you’re inclined to take pictures on the large sleigh set up specifically for photo ops.

Kissimmee Light Display: Up the ante – head over to Kissimmee for the Kissimmee Light Display. This show features more than 100,000 lights that are synchronized to Disney AND Christmas songs (best of both worlds). You can check their Facebook to see which playlists are queueing up for the night!

Lake Nona Lights: There’s plenty to see when driving around looking at Christmas lights in Orlando, but you can also head over to Lake Nona to see the Lake Nona Lights while you’re out and about. 9800 Old Patina Way in Lake Nona features more than 25,000 lights, all of which are choreographed to popular holiday songs. They’re running every night starting at 6pm!

Looking for something dependable to put in the driveway? Shop Toyota. Our cars are renowned worldwide for their reliability, durability, performance, and technology. But if that’s not enough for you, check this out – the Toyota Prius and Toyota Tacoma were recently awarded honors in the JD Power Dependability study, taking the lead in two different segments.

How are JD Power Dependability Awards determined?

How are the JD Power Dependability Awards winners decided? The company collects survey data from tens of thousands of car owners who are actually behind the wheel of the vehicles on a day-to-day basis and have owned the cars for three years. They ask them about their car’s dependability in the past 12 months and then craft their list of winners from the data gathered. The Toyota Prius took top honors in the compact car segment, while the Toyota Tacoma reigned supreme in the midsize truck segment (unseating the Honda Ridgeline).

However, having JD Power Dependability Awards under their belts isn’t the only perk that the Toyota Tacoma and Toyota Prius have to offer their owners. Check out some quick facts on both so you can see if you’re ready to schedule your test drive at Toyota of Orlando!

Toyota Prius

2018 Toyota Prius

This new Toyota hybrid is as green as it gets – it’s a hybrid car, which means that underneath the hood it’s constantly swapping back and forth between an electric motor and a gasoline engine. Here are a few other highlights that this new Toyota in Orlando has to offer:

  • Toyota Safety Sense as a standard feature
  • An 11.6″ multimedia display through which you operate your audio system, Entune, and integrated navigation
  • 17″ Alloy wheels and LED lighting on the exterior, as well as sleek SofTex and an ultra-modern design on the interior

  • A color head-up display which projects important information up on the windshield

Toyota Tacoma

Here are some of the features we think you’ll love:

  • Crawl Control and Hill Start Assist Control

When you get behind the wheel of your Orlando Toyota, you definitely have a lot of gadgets to make your drive time easier. You’ll find features and options like a push button start, Head Up Display, the Pre-Collision System, and Lane Keep Assist, just to name a few. However, one feature that nearly every new Toyota in Orlando comes with is cruise control. This handy feature makes your drive time a lot easier and less exhausting when you hit the highway…. but do you know how to properly use it?

Orlando Toyota technology

Some drivers are under the impression that they can just hit the cruise control button anytime and let their new Toyota do the rest. However, that’s definitely not the case. It’s a great tool to prevent leg fatigue on the highway, and it also helps you maintain a constant speed and can bump up fuel efficiency. However, there are certain times you shouldn’t be using it, and we’re listing them out for you!

You can’t use cruise control all the time in your new Toyota

  • You shouldn’t use cruise control when you’re in traffic – it’s designed to be utilized on the highway. If you try to use it in your new Toyota in Orlando during traffic, you’re really just wasting your time – all the stopping and starting at traffic lights will cancel out any perks you may get from utilizing it. Additionally, it’s dangerous, as you need to be moving with the ebb and flow of traffic, which means you need to be in complete control of your car.
  • You should avoid using your cruise control feature while driving in rain, snow, or fog. These adverse conditions make it hard enough to control your new Orlando Toyota as is, and taking away the element of control when it comes to speed can be extremely dangerous. Keep your foot on the pedal if you’re facing these types of weather conditions.

driving safety tips

  • If you’re tired, you should definitely not use cruise control. It’s a form of auto-pilot – you still have to steer your new Toyota, but you don’t have to think about your speed. Combine this with fatigue and you’re in danger of getting into an accident, so if you’re sleepy, definitely keep yourself in charge of your car’s speed to stay on task. In fact, it may be best to pull off the road and take a nap until you’re more awake.
  • Using cruise control at night also isn’t the best idea. Nighttime means your visibility is a bit more limited, so you need that little extra bit of control to make sure you have the element of safety on your side. It’ll also keep you more awake if you’re in charge of monitoring your new Toyota’s speed.

Your car tires are essential to your daily commute. Making sure that you have a good set of tires should be one of your top priorities when maintaining your vehicle! Without functional tires, you’ll find it hard to get to and from your destination without a bit of a struggle. Not only is not keeping up to date on your tires dangerous, it could be more expensive in the long run as well!

Toyota of Orlando wants to make sure that you have a safe time on the road. That’s why our experts have put together a list of what you should look for when checking your tires, and what to do if they need to be replaced.

Watch out for these warning signs on your car tires

Warning Sign #1: Tread wear and tear – The most common wear and tear patterns on your car tires tend to be center wear (caused by overinflation) and shoulder wear (caused by underinflation.) Make sure you keep your tires at a proper inflation so you can avoid this wear and tear from occurring.

Warning Sign #2: Bulges and blisters – When the outer surface of your tires begin to weaken, bulges and blisters can appear. These could signify that your tire might be at risk for a blow out! If you see a bulge or blister on one of your car tires, be sure to get it checked out at our Orlando service center!

Warning Sign #3: Irregular loss of tire pressure – Tires deflating at a rate of one pound per square inch every month can be normal. But if you experience more PSI loss than that, you’ll need to get your tires checked for a leak. You wouldn’t want to get a flat on the highway!

These, along with other warning signs could mean that your car tires are at their breaking point and need to be replaced soon.

Information on how to replace your car tires in Orlando

If it’s time to replace your tires, there are a few things that Toyota of Orlando recommends. It might seem more expensive at first, but buying a set of four tires as opposed to just replacing one makes it easier to keep track of the overall wear and tear on all of them. And the good news is there are usually more Orlando auto service specials when you buy a set of four tires!

As you make your selection, you want to make sure you know exactly what you’ll need. There are tons of car tires out there, and the best choice can depend on a variety of factors. These include the terrain you’ll be driving on, how much you’ll be driving and the average temperature of your location. Be sure to ask one of our Orlando tire experts if you need any help!

If you feel like it’s time for some car tire maintenance, visit Toyota of Orlando! Our service techs are experts in keeping your tires in great shape or recommending a new set to hit the road with in Orlando. You can schedule an appointment with us for auto service by calling (40) 298-4500.

If you have kids, you know just how much damage they can do to the backseat of your car. Sticky juice, crumbly crackers, ripped-up paper, melted crayons… your Orlando Toyota’s backseat can look like a warzone in a matter of hours and until you have time to detail it, you just have to live with it. However, leaving the backseat a mess can attract bugs and rodents, make your car smell, and even become a safety hazard if you get into an accident (flying debris). Toyota of Orlando is here with car care tips on how to protect your car’s backseat.

Toyota of Orlando tips

Car care tips for kid proofing your backseat

Tip #1: Invest in all-weather mats. They might cost a bit more than the carpet mats, but all-weather floor mats can save you money in the long run. This type of floormat is water-resistant and has deep grooves and channels to better collect dirt and debris. Plus, you can pull them out and either shake them or even hose them off if need be. They make cleaning up the backseat simple and quick.

Tip #2: Have a trash can in the car. Keep trash all in one spot by having a designated trash can in your car. Encourage your little ones to hand you their wrappers, etc. so you can toss them immediately and prevent clutter and crumbs in the backseat. Make sure the can has a lid to contain everything and empty it routinely, especially if you throw food away.

Tip #3: Buy a dust buster. A small handheld vacuum can be a lifesaver in between car detailings. You can even get a battery-powered one to just leave in your car. Use it to clean up crumbs and dirt on the go so you don’t have to let it all accumulate until you have time to detail your car (another extremely important aspect of car care).

Tip #4: Keep cleaning wipes on hand. You should also keep some sort of wipes in your car to clean up spills, whether they’re baby wipes or Lysol wipes. This will make handling diaper disasters, drink spills, and any other liquid catastrophe easy and fast even if you’re out and about.

Tip #5: Keep toys organized. Keep your kids’ toys organized so they don’t go flying in an accident. Tuck things into seatback pockets, keep a large Tupperware box (with a lid) on the floor of the backseat, or buy a cheap shoe organizer to hang over the back of the seat and put toys in. This will keep the backseat of your Orlando Toyota safe AND clutter-free.

And don’t forget – although some companies sell seat protectors that go under the car seats, you should NEVER put anything in between your car seat and the vehicle’s seats. This can cause them to slide around and in an accident, offer less protection, or even malfunction.
