How to celebrate Thanksgiving 2023 in Orlando

Looking for an easy way to get your fill of Thanksgiving food without having to destroy your kitchen? Here are some of our favorite spots to eat in Orlando for this food-filled holiday:

Thanksgiving Day Feast at The Alfond Inn: You can choose to eat at 12pm or 3pm for this Thanksgiving feast, but be sure to book your tickets ahead of time (adults are $119 and children 5-12 are $39). Complimentary valet parking is included, and you’ll be able to enjoy dishes like pomegranate salad, shrimp cocktail, whipped golden Yukon potatoes, candied yams, stuffing, roasted turkey, slow braised short ribs, and more.

Park Avenue Tavern Thanksgiving dinner: A three-course plated Thanksgiving meal will be up for grabs and will include dishes like butternut squash soup, sage and rosemary roasted turkey breast, cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, and both pecan and pumpkin pie. Be sure to make a reservation ahead of time! Adults are $65 and children under 12 are $22.

The Wharf at Sunset Walk: Looking for something a little more laid-back? The Wharf at Sunset Walk is offering a full turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce in a chill setting (and you can explore the Promenade at Sunset Walk to evade that carb coma). Cost is $30 per person!

Thanksgiving Buffet at Rosen Centre Hotel: If buffets are more your style, check out this “bountiful buffet” (as they’re describing it) with Thanksgiving favorites PLUS more exotic cuisine. You can enjoy greenshell mussels from New Zealand, chicken flautas, Thai coconut calamari salad, and a wide selection of desserts. The cost is $64.95 per person and kids 4-12 are $27.95 per person. Make reservations ahead of time!

How to relax after Thanksgiving 2023 in Orlando

Whether you’re eating out or whipping up a feast at home, it can be exhausting to make it through the holiday in one piece. Thanksgiving weekend is a great way to unwind before jumping into the even busier Christmas season. Here are some post-Thanksgiving 2023 events in Orlando to consider:

Yoga in the Garden: Every Saturday and Sunday in November you can check out yoga classes at Mead Botanical Garden – reset your mind AND body after a busy holiday. Bring your own water bottle and yoga mat, and the class is $10.

Holidays in the Highlands at Bok Tower Gardens: Thanksgiving in Orlando marks the beginning of the Holidays in the Highlands event at Bok Tower Gardens, which includes holiday foliage, live concerts, and other special holiday events. Admission is $20 per adult and the gardens are open daily from 8am to 6pm.

Holiday cookies and desserts classes: Have the urge to start your Christmas baking? Do it at Truffles and Trifles – they’re hosting holiday-themed cooking classes on Saturday and Sunday during Thanksgiving weekend 2023 for $85 a person.

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays: Thanksgiving 2023 also kicks off Epcot’s annual holiday festival where you can sample food and explore global holiday traditions all around the park. Be sure to buy your tickets in advance!

Home For the Holidays: Listen to live holiday music by the musical quartet Act of Congress at the Dr. Philips Center for the Performing Arts! Tickets are $30 and up per adult and shows are at 3:30pm and 7:30pm on Saturday, November 25.
