Toyota GR Supra Lego

Have you gotten your hands on the new Toyota Supra Lego collectible yet? This toy – if you can call it that – even comes with a Lego driver that fits neatly in the front seat. Whether you’re a Lego collector, a Toyota GR Supra aficionado, or just someone who wants to brainwash their kids into liking cool cars, the Toyota Supra Lego car is for you (and don’t forget, Father’s Day is just around the corner).

Why does a Toyota Supra Lego car even exist?

Lego is all-encompassing – you can find everything from Harry Potter castles down to basic bricks and blocks for creating custom designs. Lego also houses a large collection of iconic cars in its wheel house, including autos like Land Rovers, Porsches, Peugots, Ferraris, McLarens… we could keep going, but you get the idea. The cars features in the Lego lineup are both old and new, and each one has to be iconic to be featured. We think the Orlando Toyota GR Supra fits the bill.

Did you know that there’s actually a life-size Toyota Supra Lego car in Japan? It resulted from a collaboration between Lego Japan, Legoland Japan, and Toyota Gazoo Racing to celebrate the 35th anniversary of this icon.

  • It took 2,400 hours to build, weighs 4,156 lbs, and consists of 477,305 Lego bricks.
  • Additionally, the entire thing is made of Legos except for the wheels, driver’s seat, steering wheel, gauge cluster, and badging – those are all Genuine Toyota Parts to give it a more lifelike feel. As a result of the Lego construction, this model is a bit wider than the original Toyota GR Supra.
  • This incredible Toyota Lego Supra can actually be driven, believe it or not. It has an electric drivetrain and can reach speeds of 17 mph.

It also was the spark that ignited the idea for a miniature Toyota Supra Lego car. Here are some quick facts on that:

  • You won’t need to worry about stepping on 477,305 pieces – this particular Toyota Supra Lego car only has 299 pieces.
  • It sits 1.5 inches high and is six inches long, and is 2.5 inches wide.
  • You can fit two Lego people inside – one driver, and one passenger. The car comes with a driver complete with a safety helmet, Toyota racing suit, and wrench.

What makes the Orlando Toyota GR Supra worthy of becoming a part of the Lego lineup?

But what makes the legendary Orlando Toyota GR Supra worthy of Lego honor? Here are some of the specs on the new model that we think make it live up to its hype:

  • The 2023 model has two engines options.
    • A 2.0L Twin-Scroll Single-Turbo Inline 4-Cylinder engine that gets 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft torque. This allows this new Toyota to get from 0-60 mph in 5.0 seconds flat.
    • A 3.0L Twin-Scroll Single-Turbo Inline 6-Cylinder engine that delivers 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft torque. This allows this Toyota sports car to get from 0-60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.
  • Your choice of both a six-speed intelligent manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and manual mode
  • Launch Control and a direct-injection fuel system
  • A top track speed of 155 mph
  • Active rear sport differential
  • Adaptive Variable Sport Suspension
  • Brembo 4-piston fixed-caliper front disc brakes
