• The Sienna is super versatile inside and in our opinion, more comfortable for large families. It also has more cargo space than the Grand Highlander when all the seats are up and occupied.
• The Grand Highlander is still great for families (especially if you don’t want a minivan). It’s spacious and adults can comfortably sit in the third row, and you still have a fair amount of cargo space even when all the seats are up.

Its tech revolves around convenience and entertainment – it has an entertainment system so kids can watch stuff in the backseat, as well as Driver Easy Speak to amplify the driver’s voice throughout the cabin.
• Grand Highlander is also very safe but has more high-tech options like Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, Traffic Jam Assist, User Profile Face Identification, and digital key capability. It also has a larger audio touchscreen.

There’s a price discrepancy BUT the Grand Highlander offers fewer model variations and starts at an XLE. (i.e. it starts higher, but comes with nicer features on its base model than the base Toyota Sienna.)
