Your guide to car phobia

Your guide to car phobia

Friday the 13th is here, and we're talking about fear - specifically, fear of cars. Do you have or know someone who has a car phobia? They exist, and our Orlando Toyota specialists are breaking down some of the most common ones for you in this guide. more What causes a car phobia? Motorphobia: This car phobia is the fear of cars themselves. It's also referred to as ochophobia. This fear can extend to being around or thinking about a car, much less being in it! Dystychiphobia: This car phobia is the fear of accidents. People with it often have an intense fear of danger on the road and that danger resulting in an accident or collision. Amaxophobia: This car phobia is the fear of riding in a vehicle. It goes for both drivers and passengers - even if you're not driving, if you have this phobia then you have an intense fear of being in a moving vehicle. Vehophobia: Conversely, this car phobia is the fear of driving a car. People with it may be fine riding in an Orlando Toyota, but they don't want to be the one behind the wheel as that can cause intense fear. Hodophobia: This is the fear of road travel. People with this car phobia are not in it for road trips. Driving on a highway or street causes serious fear for them. What else can cause a car phobia? Now, let's discuss some specific car phobias that involve more than just the fear of cars and being in or driving one. Gephyrophobia: This is the fear of driving over bridges (again, valid). Normal roads may be no issue for folks with this car phobia, but having to drive over a bridge can cause intense fear. Photoaugliaphobia: This is a phobia of glaring lights. Drivers who have this phobia may be fine driving during the day, but driving their Orlando Toyota at night and facing bright headlights can cause them intense fear. Autoplenophobia: This car phobia is the fear of car washes. Whether it's the loud noises, the water washing over the car, or the machinery involved, people with this phobia can't stomach driving their car through car washes. Technophobia: People with this particular phobia have a fear of advanced technology or complex devices. With all of the new technology in cars (especially our cars at Toyota of Orlando), this phobia can quickly become a problem for drivers who suffer from it. Claustrophobia: You've probably heard this one as it extends beyond the automotive world. It's the fear of confined places - like the cabin of a car. Toyota of Orlando's safe driving tips for hitting the road Even if you don't have a car phobia, hitting the road can be scary at times. Here are a few quick safety tips to follow when you're behind the wheel. Put your phone down. Distracted driving greatly increases your chances of getting into a car accident or collision. That text can wait until you reach your destination. Use Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for navigation. This will project your map information right onto your Orlando Toyota's touchscreen so you can quickly refer to it and keep your eyes on the road when it matters most. Take care of your car. Driving a car that's in bad condition can lead to breakdowns, tire blowouts, and other roadside emergencies that can result in accident or injury. Follow road rules. Do your part to stay safe in your Orlando Toyota. Follow the speed limit, use your turn signals, check blind spots, and come to complete stops at stop signs. Avoid aggressive driving. Being late is better than being in an accident. Avoid driving aggressively to avoid damage to your car and injury to yourself. How to protect car paint from sun in open parking

How to protect car paint from sun in open parking

Florida summers can be brutal, and we're not just talking about the effects can have on you. The heat and sun can also take their toll on your vehicle, especially its exterior. This is even more true if you have to park in open parking without any cover to shield your Orlando Toyota from the sun all day. Our body shop experts are making it simple ™ - check out these tips on how to protect car paint from sun in open parking! more How to protect car paint from sun: Four tips You need to know how to protect car paint from sun if you're parking your ride out in the open. Unfortunately, it's not always possible to keep your car out of the sun. You may not have covered parking at home, work, or school, which means your Orlando Toyota is exposed to the elements for hours on end (and usually when the heat and sun are at their worst). So do you know how to protect car paint from sun when you can't count on covered parking? Check out these four tips. Tip #1: Detail your car and use a quality wax. One of the easiest ways to protect your car from sun in open parking is to detail it regularly. We're talking hand wash with a soap made for vehicles, and hand drying to avoid water spots on the paint and remove any chemical residue left on the paint. When your ride is sparkling, our Toyota of Orlando body shop experts recommend applying quality wax. Wax is a sort of sunscreen for your car - it'll protect your vehicle's paint from UV rays that can fade it. It also gives your ride a nice shine. You should apply wax every three months to ensure protection. Tip #2: Invest in a car cover. Another way to beat the heat and sun is to buy a car cover. This will help to protect your car from sun in open parking at home, and you may even choose to use it at work if you're working long hours. Look for a high-quality cover that's also UV resistant to give your paint the protection it deserves. (You'll want to look for covers made of polyester, canvas, or vinyl.) Pro tip: Don't put a car cover on a wet vehicle; it can cause mold and mildew to grow under the cover. If your car isn't moving much, then take the cover off for a few minutes every day to let the paint breathe. Tip #3: Consider ceramic coating. Another option to protect your car from sun is to invest in ceramic coating. Wax is a great way to fend off UV rays, but ceramic coating is a tougher, more permanent solution. Ceramic coating has the same qualities as car wax; however, it's a liquid polymer that bonds to your car's paint and creates a super-durable protective layer to prevent sun damage and even superficial scratches. Have questions about it? Ask our Toyota of Orlando body shop techs if it's right for your car! Tip #4: Look for trees and shade. This is an easy and free way to protect your ride from the sun all day. Look for shady spots in parking lots, and if you can park under trees, do it. Any shade is better than no shade at all, so seek out spots that can at least slightly protect your car from sitting in the sun all day. If your home or work provides a paid parking garage, it may be worth investing in a parking pass to ward off paint damage long term. How to sell a car

How to sell a car: Surrendering your license plates

So you finally sold your car - congratulations! Whether you're upgrading to something new or looking forward to being vehicle-free, it's definitely a weight off your shoulders to sell your ride. However, even though you know how to sell a car up to the part where the other person signs the dotted line, do you know what to do after the sale is complete? Today we're talking about how to sell a car after the fact - specifically, how to surrender license plates.  Check out this Toyota of Orlando guide! more How do I surrender my license plate in Florida? The most important thing to keep in mind is that the process of dealing with your license plates after you sell your Orlando Toyota varies from state to state. If you're reading this, you should be asking yourself "How do I surrender my license plates in Florida?" If you don't live in Florida, you should definitely do a little research to see what your particular state requires. That being said, here's how to surrender license plates if you live in the Sunshine State. Note: It's important to remember that your license plates belong to the state - they're not really yours. So if the decal is unexpired and you're not keeping insurance current for that plate, you need to turn it back into the state. Here are two options for how to surrender license plates: 1. In person. You can physically drop your car's license plates off at your local DMV and hand them over in person. 2. By mail. Did you know that you can actually mail your license plates to your local DMV? This cuts out the step of having to go in person and spend time there. Just be sure that when you mail them, you include a request to cancel and recycle the plate. How to surrender license plates that are lost or stolen What if your license plates get stolen, or you lose them? What if they're destroyed in a car accident? In these instances, there's not much you can do. However, you do need to let the DMV know what happened. You should contact them immediately - they can provide you with an affidavit saying that your plates were lost, destroyed, or stolen that you fill out, sign, and return. Now you know how to sell a car and what to do with the plates afterward. But what if you don't get around to surrendering your plates? Here are some of the serious consequences of not taking care of your Orlando Toyota's plates after the sale of your car. Your plates could be stolen and attached to another car. This could lead to thieves using your plates to go through tolls, run red lights, or even commit crimes... and the plates are still attached to your name and address, which can lead to a big headache for you. Y ou could be ticketed or have other financial sanctions if your license plate is still active but your insurance is dropped from your car. Further, if you fail to surrender your plate when your insurance is cancelled your driver's license can be suspended. Where can I sleep in my car legally?

Where can I sleep in my car legally?

If you're thinking about hitting the road this summer but want to save your money for souvenirs, then you might consider sleeping in your car or van. However, if this is the case you're probably also asking yourself "Where can I sleep in my car legally?". Toyota of Orlando is here and as usual, making it simple ™. Check out this guide to safe places to sleep in your car. Where can I sleep in my car legally if I'm living van life? Van life - choosing to streamline your life and live in a van or camper while you travel around - is quickly becoming a popular way of life for people who want to live outside the confines of a typical day-to-day. However, paying for campgrounds every night can quickly add up, leaving them shelling out almost as much as they would if they were staying in hotels or Airbnbs. This often leads to the question "where can I sleep in my car legally?" as van dwellers try to save a few bucks. Here's a comprehensive list of safe places to sleep in your car. more Rest Stops: Rest stops are a pretty obvious place to pull over and stop for the night - this is their intended purpose, after all. Rest stops are located along highways and interstates (you won't find them on normal streets in Orlando). It's completely legal to sleep in your car at a rest stop, and many of them have 24-hour bathrooms, picnic tables, and vending machines if you need a pick-me-up. However, rest stops see a lot of through traffic so be sure to lock up, be aware of your surroundings, and put your privacy shades up when it gets dark. Welcome Information Centers: Welcome Information Centers are similar to rest stops - you'll find them on major highways and interstates as you cross state lines (for example, when you leave Florida and cross into Georgia). They usually have large parking lots to accommodate travelers, and you can go inside before they close to pick up free maps and recommendations for the best sights to see in the state. You'll also likely have the place to yourself - welcome information centers aren't typically a place where people pull over to camp. Just keep in mind the bathrooms will only be open as long as the information center is. BLM Land: If you like to get out of civilization and stretch your legs, BLM - Bureau of Land Management - land is a great option to set up camp. It's dispersed camping, which means no water, sewage, or electricity hookups, but it's free and legal to camp on. You can camp for free on BLM land for anywhere between 14-30 days depending on where you are. Just remember the Leave No Trace motto and be sure to take all of your trash with you when you leave. Casinos: Casinos are another option on our list of safe places to sleep in your car, but they might be a little more difficult to find than some of the other options. Casinos are open 24 hours a day and usually have security patrolling the parking lots, which gives you some added peace of mind. You could also pop inside and try your hand at the slot machines or grab something to eat while you're there. However, some casinos may not want you spending the night in their parking lot, so be respectful and be ready to move if a security officer taps on your window. Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops: Did you know that some (but not all) Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops make it onto the list of safe places to sleep in your car? These outdoor stores have bathrooms, snacks and drinks, and camping gear. It's best to call ahead and ask if overnight parking is allowed before you plan to stop for the night at one of these stores. Walmart: Walmart is probably a top option when asking yourself "Where can I sleep in my car legally?". You're allowed to stop and spend the night without issue, you have easy access to snacks and drinks, and the parking lots are well-lit, which means they're safer. Most Walmarts are 24 hours which means 24-hour access to bathrooms. You might even be able to hook onto their free WiFi! How to find safe places to sleep in your car You've got our Orlando Toyota list, but we know sometimes it's tricky to find options when sleeping on the road. backing out of a parking spot

A quick guide to backing out of a parking space

Do you know how to back out of a parking space? It may seem like an easy process, but there’s a little more to it than that. Luckily, we’re here and making it simple ™ (as always) at Toyota of Orlando. Check out this quick guide to backing out of a parking space, backing into a parking space, and other parking lot hacks for you and your Toyota. more Backing out of a parking space: What you should know We’re going to walk you through backing out of a parking space to paint a nice, clear picture. Here are the steps you should take in your Orlando Toyota. Step 1: Put your car into reverse, but keep your foot on the brake. You have a few more things to do before you can back out. Step 2: See what’s behind you before backing out of a parking space. If you have a backup camera or panoramic view monitor ( 360-degree camera), this is a great time to use it. Step 3: Don’t rely solely on the technology in your car, though. You should also physically turn to check behind you, as well as on either side of you, and be sure to check your blind spots. Step #4: Start to slowly accelerate to reverse out of your spot, paying close attention to your surroundings. If you see a car coming, stop - you don’t have the right of way and can be at fault if an accident happens when you’re backing out of a parking space. Step #5: When you’re about a third of the way out of your parking spot, it’s time to turn your Orlando Toyota’s wheels. You’re going to turn the steering wheel in the direction that you want your car to reverse. For example, if you want the back of your car to go left, you should turn your steering wheel left. Step #6: Once you’ve fully completed backing out of a parking spot, check to ensure your path is clear, turn your wheels in the direction you want to go, and put your car in drive. Now that you’re a pro and know how to back out of a parking space, let’s talk about backing into one. How to back into a parking space, step by step If you’re the type of driver who likes to back into a parking spot so you can make a quick exit when it’s time to leave, we’ve got you. Statistically, it’s actually safer to back into a parking spot and pull forward to exit it. Here’s a simple guide on backing into a parking spot. Step #1: Find the spot you want and activate your turn signal so other drivers know where you’re headed. Step #2: Drive two spots past the parking space that you want. This will give you the space you need to maneuver into your space. Line up your passenger’s side mirror with the farthest parking line in the second parking spot. Step #3: Turn your Orlando Toyota’s steering wheel in the direction of the parking space you want - depending on the size of your car and how much space you have, you may want to turn it until it locks. Step #4: Physically turn around to ensure there are no cars behind you or in your projected path. Again, you can use your backup camera or 360 degree camera, but don’t rely solely on them. Step #5: Shift into reverse, your steering wheel still turned, and back slowly and carefully into your spot. Step #6: If necessary, shift your Orlando Toyota into drive and pull forward to straighten your car out. You want to ensure that you’re parked in the middle of the two parking space lines, with an even amount of space on both sides of your vehicle. And you’re parked! Toyota of Orlando’s parking lot hacks To continue in the vein of making it simple ™, we’ve got some easy tips for navigating a parking lot like a pro. Move slowly. You’ll be able to maneuver better (and more safely) if you travel at low speeds in a parking lot. Remember, there are a lot of cars and pedestrians to look out for. Stay off your phone. Pay attention to what’s going on - other cars, people walking, signs, etc. to get to your spot safely. Don't engage in distracted driving! Park in well-lit areas when you can. Your car will be less likely to be broken into. If there’s a security tower or camera, even better. Lock up your car and be sure your valuables are out of sight. dirt bag camping

What is a dirt bag, and is a Toyota a fit for that lifestyle?

Most of the time when you hear the word "dirt bag", it's assumed that it's a derogatory term. However, the phrase has taken on a whole new meaning in recent years, and believe it or not, having the right Orlando Toyota could help you truly embrace the dirtbag lifestyle. Our Toyota of Orlando experts are here to fill you in. more A dirt bag definition: What you should know As we said, dirt bag used to be an unkind term. However, it's taken on a new meaning. Now, the dirt bag definition refers to an individual who's decided to forego a so-called "normal" life to pursue an outdoor passion like climbing, hiking, etc. A dirt bag typically lives in their vehicle (which is why we mentioned our Orlando Toyotas) and spends their time traveling around, seeking out new adventures and outdoor experiences. Dirt bags used to only refer to climbers who lived this unique lifestyle, but now encompasses hikers, rafters and kayakers, surfers, skiers, base jumpers, and anyone else living their life in pursuit of outdoors and adventure. As noted, they often live in their car or a tent, have few personal belongings, don't occupy a traditional job, and value their time and nature more than anything. But where did the movement start? A brief look at dirt bag history Two of the "original" dirt bags include Yvon Chouinard and Fred Beckey, two legendary climbers and mountaineers. These adventurers put nature first, giving up ordinary lives to pursue their love of the outdoors. Beckey climbed some of the tallest mountain peaks in the world and was able to claim many first ascents (the first successful documented climb to the top) for many of them. He never married, had children, or pursued a career to maximize his time spent in nature. In fact, Patagonia made a movie about him entitled Dirtbag: The Legend of Fred Beckey. Speaking of Patagonia, let's talk about Yvon Chouinard. He's the founder of the outdoor-driven brand, and in order to be able to pursue his passion for climbing, he learned blacksmithing and often made his own climbing tools. He also has several first ascents under his belt, climbed with Fred Beckey, and went on to eventually found the clothing and gear brand Patagonia. He's also a proponent of environmental activism. Is dirt bag camping for you? Think you might like to get closer to nature and spend your time pursuing outdoor adventure? Here are a few tips to get you started. Be prepared to live cheaply. A dirt bag lifestyle means living frugally, especially if you're going to live it long-term. You won't have a mortgage, but you will have to find shelter, buy food and water, and buy + maintain any equipment you need for your adventures. Consider remote work. If you can find a remote gig and keep a laptop with you, you're going to have an easier time when it comes to dirt bag camping. Having some sort of steady income can ensure you have a hot shower at least every once in a while and can keep your car fueled up and your food supply steady. Don't forget, places like Starbucks and public libraries have free wifi. Look for the roads less traveled. Staying in high-profile campgrounds and national/state parks can be pricey. Look for lesser-known campgrounds or dispersed camping that are close to where you want to adventure. Meal plan. Be organized about your food and water situation to be able to stick to your budget. You need energy to seek out adventure. Become a part of the dirt bag community. Talking to other dirt bags is your best bet on finding hidden gems, lesser-known campgrounds and parks, and learning the tools and tricks of the trade. Immerse yourself into the lifestyle and let others' wisdom help guide you. Which Orlando Toyota fits a dirt bag lifestyle? Being a dirt bag means you're going to be on the go and often off the beaten path. Here are some characteristics you'll want to look for in a new Toyota: Fuel efficiency. You'll be on a budget, so why waste money on gas if you don't have to? Off-road capabilities. Finding new adventures and hidden gems often means getting out of civilization - have the right tools to do it safely and efficiently. Interior space. If you're going to camp inside of your car, you want the space to get comfortable, especially if you're going to live the dirt bag lifestyle long term. So which Orlando Toyotas fit the bill? Here are our recommendations: 2024 Toyota RAV4 Adventure or TRD Off-Road. Both offer Dynamic Torque Vectoring all-wheel drive, and the TRD model has a TRD-tuned suspension and all-terrain tires suited for getting off the pavement. 2024 Toyota Tacoma. The Tacoma is one of the most versatile trucks in the lineup. You can opt for a hybrid model thanks to the new redesign (which means better fuel efficiency), and you'll have options like manual transmission, skid plates, and multi-terrain select in the TRD Off-Road model. Plus, the bed is perfect for camping. 2024 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. This new crossover is affordable and fuel-efficient (you'll get 45/38 mpg) and has plenty of interior space for you to stretch out and get comfortable, as well as store your dirt bag camping gear. 360 camera

Is there a benefit to cars with 360 cameras?

Updated April 6, 2026 When you’re car shopping, you’ve probably got a list of must-have features. Some people want the best safety tech, some people want fuel efficiency, and others want to be able to tow. Whatever you need in your next Orlando Toyota, it’s a good idea to have it in mind before you shop. However, some people don’t take technology into consideration when shopping. Today we’re addressing a big but not commonly asked question: is there a benefit to cars with 360 cameras? Why Cars with 360 Cameras Are a Game-Changer for Orlando Drivers Cars with 360-degree camera systems (like Toyota’s Panoramic View Monitor) provide a bird’s-eye view of your surroundings, significantly improving visibility beyond traditional mirrors and backup cameras. This technology enhances safety and confidence by reducing blind spots and helping drivers detect obstacles such as curbs, poles, and other vehicles during low-speed maneuvers. It is especially valuable in everyday situations like parking, navigating tight garages, and driving larger vehicles such as SUVs and trucks. Many 2026 Toyota models across sedans, SUVs, trucks, and hybrids offer this feature, typically on higher trims or as part of advanced technology packages. While aftermarket systems exist, factory-installed 360 cameras provide better accuracy, integration, and reliability, making them the preferred option for most drivers. Technology in vehicles has advanced a lot over the past decade, and many of the newest innovations are focused on improving safety and visibility for drivers. Cars with 360 cameras are one of the most useful examples of this. These systems are designed to give you a better understanding of everything happening around your vehicle so you can drive and park with more confidence. For many drivers, especially those who frequently drive in busy city environments like Orlando, this type of technology can make a noticeable difference in day-to-day driving. What is a 360 camera in a car? A 360 camera in a car goes by multiple names. For example, in our new Toyotas, it’s called a Panoramic View Monitor. Some other car manufacturers call it a surround-view camera or a bird’s eye view camera. Whatever you call it, it has one main function: to give you a 360-degree view of what’s around your car. Cars with 360 cameras are designed to give drivers a perspective they normally wouldn’t have. Instead of relying only on mirrors or a traditional backup camera, this system displays an overhead-style view of your vehicle and its surroundings on the infotainment screen. It essentially stitches together images from multiple cameras around the car to simulate a top-down perspective. This feature can be especially helpful for drivers who want a clearer understanding of their surroundings when maneuvering in tight spaces. Whether you’re parking in a crowded shopping plaza, pulling into a narrow garage, or navigating through a busy parking lot, having that bird’s eye view can make the process much easier. How does this type of Toyota technology work? The Panoramic View Monitor (and other cars with 360 cameras) truly gives you a full view of what’s going on around your Orlando Toyota. But how? Here’s how this feature works: There are typically at least four cameras in this system to ensure you get the full view of what’s around you. The mirrors are usually located in the rear, on the side mirrors, and in the front grille. Some systems may have more than four cameras. What you see when you look at your monitor while using this technology is a composite of the different cameras around your car. The cameras join their images through a software program to create a 360-degree image. This model shows you a true “bird’s eye view” – it looks like there’s a drone hovering over your car, showing you what’s surrounding you. This majorly enhances visibility. Rather than relying on a standard backup camera, which only shows you what’s behind you, you can see the entirety of your car’s surroundings. Some of these systems are paired with a split-view image to give you even more visibility (typically the backup camera is the other image). They might also be paired with a proximity alert to let you know when you’re getting too close to surrounding objects. Obviously, there are a lot of perks to having this technology in your car. It gives you a clear view of your surroundings and this makes navigating tight parking spaces, off-road terrain, bad traffic, and other tricky circumstances a good deal easier. Another reason many drivers prefer cars with 360 cameras is because they help reduce blind spots when maneuvering at low speeds. While mirrors and sensors help, they can’t always show everything happening near the corners of your vehicle. The overhead view provided by these systems fills in those gaps and helps you see obstacles like curbs, poles, shopping carts, or even small objects that might otherwise go unnoticed. When is a 360 camera most helpful? Cars with 360 cameras are particularly helpful in everyday driving situations where visibility can be limited. Parking is one of the biggest examples. Whether you’re backing into a parking space or trying to parallel park on a busy street, it can be tricky. The overhead view helps you line up your vehicle more accurately and avoid getting too close to surrounding cars. This feature is also extremely useful in tight spaces like parking garages. Garages often have narrow lanes, concrete pillars, and limited lighting, which can make maneuvering stressful. A 360 camera system gives you a clear view of where your vehicle sits in relation to those obstacles so you can drive more confidently. Another situation where cars with 360 cameras really shine is when driving larger vehicles like SUVs and trucks. Vehicles like the Toyota Tundra or Toyota Sequoia sit higher off the ground and have larger dimensions. This can sometimes make it harder to judge distances in close quarters. A surround-view camera system helps eliminate that guesswork by giving you a better view of everything around your vehicle. Drivers who enjoy outdoor adventures may also appreciate this technology when traveling on rough terrain. While it’s not a replacement for careful driving, the additional visibility can help when navigating narrow trails, rocky paths, or uneven ground. Which Toyotas have 360 cameras? Thinking you might want a car with a 360 camera in your driveway? Here are the 2026 Toyotas that offer this helpful feature: Toyota RAV4 + RAV4 Plug-In Toyota Highlander + Highlander Hybrid Toyota Grand Highlander + Grand Highlander Hybrid Toyota Tundra Toyota Sequoia Toyota Prius + Prius Plug-in Toyota Sienna Toyota Camry Toyota 4Runner Toyota bZ + bZ Woodland Toyota Crown Toyota Land Cruiser Toyota Tacoma As you can see, if this feature is on your must-have list, you have many options. Cars with 360 cameras are available across multiple vehicle types, including sedans, SUVs, trucks, and even hybrid and electric models. This makes it easier than ever to find a vehicle that fits both your lifestyle and your technology preferences. It’s also worth noting that this feature is typically available on higher trims or as part of a technology package. That means you may not see it on entry-level models. But it’s often included when you upgrade to trims that feature additional driver-assistance technology and convenience features. For many drivers, the added visibility and peace of mind are well worth the investment. Parking mishaps and low-speed collisions can happen easily in crowded areas, and having a clear view around your car can help prevent those situations before they occur. Can you install a 360 camera after you buy your car? Believe it or not, 360 cameras are also sold as aftermarket parts that you can add to your vehicle. Do we recommend it? No. More often than not, you won’t get the same quality and results with an aftermarket system. Further, it’s not an easy DIY project. It requires a lot of adjusting and calibration and a basic knowledge of the technology. Factory-installed systems are specifically designed for your vehicle’s dimensions and integrated with the vehicle’s software and display systems. Aftermarket versions may not offer the same image quality, accuracy, or reliability. Additionally, installation can be complicated because multiple cameras need to be mounted around the vehicle and then calibrated correctly so that the system can generate an accurate overhead image. If the cameras are even slightly misaligned, the display may not accurately reflect your surroundings. Because of this, many drivers who want cars with 360 cameras prefer to shop for vehicles that already come equipped with the technology from the factory. When should I use a 360 camera while driving? You should use a 360 camera when driving in tight or low-visibility situations, like parking, navigating garages, or maneuvering through crowded areas. It’s especially helpful at low speeds to avoid obstacles and reduce blind spots around your vehicle. 2. What other cameras do new Toyotas have? New Toyotas come equipped with several other helpful camera and sensor systems, including a backup (rearview) camera, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert, all designed to improve visibility and awareness around your vehicle. 3. What's the difference between a 360 camera and a backup camera? A backup camera only shows what’s directly behind your vehicle when reversing, while a 360 camera provides a full bird’s-eye view of everything around your car. This makes a 360 system much more helpful for navigating tight spaces and avoiding obstacles on all sides.
