What is the 2025 Toyota GR86 Hakone Special Edition?

This special edition Orlando Toyota pays tribute to the famous Hakone Turnpike near Tokyo in Japan. Only 860 of these limited edition cars will be produced, making it truly one-of-a-kind when you get your hands on one. We don’t know the starting MSRP yet, but we do know that the 2025 Toyota GR86 Hakone Special Edition should be arriving at dealerships sometime this fall.

Here’s what you should know about this new Toyota sports car:

• It’s built off of the Orlando Toyota GR86 Premium Grade model. This means a lux interior with tech like GR86 Audio with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Sirius XM. You can also expect features like push button start, USB charging ports, heated front seats, and a digital gauge cluster. Ths model also comes with connected services like Remote Connect, Service Connect, and Safety Connect.
• You’ll have the choice between a six-speed manual transmission and an automatic transmission, and you’ll get a 2.4L boxer engine under the hood that provides 228 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. torque. The manual version comes with Track Mode and the ability to switch off Vehicle Stability control.

• Further, this Orlando Toyota is one of the lightest sports cars on the market with an aluminum hood, front fenders, and roof panel. If you’ve got a need for speed, this is the car to fulfill it – the 2025 Toyota GR86 gets from 0-60 mph in just 6.1 seconds.
• There are also Brembo brakes and SACHS dampers on the 2025 Toyota GR86 Hakone Edition to enhance your driving experience.
• The electronic power steering has been retuned for 2025, resulting in more responsive handling.

• You’ll also find that the 2025 Toyota GR86 Hakone Special Edition has retuned shock absorbers for a better sense of ground contact and handling.
• This new Toyota sports car also offers an unforgettable exterior. It comes in an all-new color – Ridge Green – that evokes luxury and sophistication. The paint is accented by exterior features like 18-inch satin bronze-finished wheels, a duck-tail spoiler, black accents, and Hakone badging to let everyone know your ride is one-of-a-kind.
• The interior is plush and sleek. It showcases Ultrasuede sport seats with tan leather trim and stitching and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. You’ll also love the Hakone special edition shift knob with bronze accents, as well as the GR special edition plaque that denotes your car’s production number.
