2024 Toyota Tacoma in Orlando

The Toyota Tacoma is back, and it’s better than ever before (at least in our opinion). The 2024 Toyota Tacoma has finally made its way into the spotlight after a seriously long wait, and our Orlando Toyota dealership is here to give you the information you need on this complete redesign and new generation.

The basics for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma redesign

We’ll kick things off with the most important basic information about the 2024 Toyota Tacoma. Here are some quick facts:

  • This new Orlando Toyota truck will be available in SR, SR5, TRD PreRunner, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, Limited, TRD Pro, and Trailhunter models.
  • You’ll be able to choose between a gas model and a hybrid model, as well as manual and automatic transmissions.
  • There are numerous grades and configurations for the latest generation. Two cab styles are available with either a 5- or 6-foot bed, and you can choose between a four-door Double Cab and a new two-door XtraCab.
  • The new 2024 Toyota Tacoma will go on sale later this year – we don’t have an exact month but stay tuned for updates. No word yet on MSRP.

And for the first time, each grade is distinct from the others. You’ll truly be able to find a Tacoma best suited to your needs, whether they’re multipurpose, overlanding, city driving, etc.

The 2024 Toyota Tacoma is all about performance

Let’s talk about one of the BIGGEST highlights of this new Toyota truck: performance. This Orlando Toyota is upping its game in a major way for the new model year with performance elements like:

  • The new TNGA-F platform (the Tundra and Sequoia also sit on this platform), which was designed solely for trucks and features a a new high-strength boxed, steel-ladder frame
  • Two turbocharged four-cylinder powertrains. As noted, you can choose between:
    • A gas model that utilizes a 2.4L turbocharged four-cylinder engine. You’ll get 228 horsepower and 243 lb-ft torque. However, if you pair this engine with the new eight-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission, you increase horsepower to 278 and torque to 317 lb-ft.
    • hybrid model with the new i-Force MAX system that produces 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque
  • The choice of an automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission with automatic rev-matching and anti-stall technology
  • Maximum towing capacity of 6,500 lbs., and features like a trailer brake controller, trailer backup guide, and digital display mirror.
  • Rear-wheel drive with automatic limited-slip differential, as well as four-wheel drive with active traction control and automatic limited-slip differential. Additionally, for the first time, the Limited grade will offer full-time four-wheel drive with a center-locking differential on i-Force MAX models.

  • Multi-Terrain Select, which is now functional in both 4WD-High and 4WD-Low, as well as CRAWL Control, Downhill Assist Control, and a standard clutch start cancel on manual transmission models.

  • Suspensions tuned for each grade, including a new multi-link coil rear suspension option, adaptive variable suspension, Old Man Emu 4x4 suspension by ARB, and more.
  • A larger bed - you’ll have a 7% increase in bed volume which means easier loading, as well as a tailgate bump switch located by each taillight to let you open your tailgate with the press of a button.
  • An integrated high-output air compressor in the Trailhunter model, so you can easily air up your tires after a day on the trails

You won’t recognize the 2024 Toyota Tacoma in the best way

When we look at the 2024 Toyota Tacoma, we automatically think of the recently redesigned Toyota Tundra and Toyota Sequoia. Like its larger siblings, this new Orlando Toyota truck sports an athletic and tough body style. Here are some of the other highlights featured in its fourth-generation redesign:

  • A high lift and slim body, as well as a wide hexagonal upper grille for a powerful stance
  • High-mount headlamps and LED lighting,
  • Side functional air intakes, as well as integrated roof and tailgate spoilers
  • A lifted front suspension on some models for a sportier look and feel
  • A new IsoDynamic Performance Seat option that helps provide a smooth ride for those in the driver and front passenger seats
  • A power moonroof
  • Multiple wheel and tire options, including beefy all-terrain tires
  • Power retractable sidesteps
  • A robust color palette that includes hues like Supersonic Red, Blue Crush Metallic, Underground, Wind Chill Pearl, Solar Octane, Celestial Silver Metallic, Black, Ice Cap, and Bronze Oxide. Plus, a new TRD Pro-exclusive color for the 2024 model year will be announced this year.

We have to talk about the all-new Xtra Cab, too – it makes this truck look more athletic than ever. It’s a two-seater cabin with a functional rear cabin storage area and a 6-foot bed. This means no rear doors or seats, but the functionality remains with features like lockable storage on the rear floor and back panel, as well as a passenger seat that folds flat for more cargo space.
