Everything you need to know about TRD in 2022

If you’re into performance cars or trucks (especially in the Toyota family), it’s highly likely that at this point in your life you’ve heard of TRD. It stands for Toyota Racing Development, which is the in-house tuning shop under the Toyota umbrella that’s in charge of not only supporting racing efforts across the globe but also improving the brand’s street cars to make them more performance-driven and exciting to pilot.

TRD is nothing new – in fact, it’s been around since the late 1970s. TRD was first an aftermarket parts distributor and “speed shop” for street cars, but it’s grown immensely over the last few decades and is now one of the biggest and most accomplished engineering companies in the industry.

So you can buy TRD parts and accessories every time you visit Toyota of Orlando, but did you know that there are also TRD packages available as well as TRD models on many of our new Toyotas? We’re breaking down the basics so you can see what each includes.

TRD Sport

This particular package or model is mostly (OK, almost 100%) for looks, but it’s a great way to add an edge to your new Orlando Toyota without breaking the bank. Here are the features:

TRD Pro
