2025 Toyota 4Runner performance: The major stats

Performance is always high on the list when it comes to 4Runner drivers. We’re happy to say that Toyota definitely took that into account when they redesigned it. Here are some of the performance highlights we’re loving for the new generation:

  • It’s built on the TNGA-F global truck platform. (The Tacoma, Land Cruiser, Tundra, and Sequoia also share this platform.) This platform uses a high-strength boxed steel-ladder frame, as well as multi-link coil rear and double-wishbone front suspension.
  • It has two powerful new turbocharged engine options. You can opt for a 2.4L 4-cylinder i-FORCE engine that gets 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft. But you can also choose an i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain that gets 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft torque.
  • The 2025 Toyota 4Runner has a new Stabilizer Bar Disconnect Mechanism for better suspension articulation. It also majorly flexes with approach angles of 32 degrees and departure angles of 24 degrees.
  • You can drive home this Orlando Toyota in 2WD, part-time 4WD, or full-time 4WD.
  • You’ll find off-road performance features like automatic limited-slip differential, active traction control, and center locking differential. This redesigned Toyota also has multi-terrain select and CRAWL Control.

All in all, you can tackle the toughest trails with the best traction, steering, and navigating capabilities possible.
